CK Story:

Christopher Stankovic is a quiet man who lives in a suburban housing estate. Behind his seemingly ordinary daily routine, he has a big secret. He knows his neighbor, Elijah Terrell, isn't just a friendly guy who says hello in the morning. Elijah was running a cocaine smuggling operation from within their own neighborhood - using empty houses as stash houses. A suspicious Christopher began investigating quietly, and once enough evidence was gathered, he reported Elijah to the authorities.

Since the report was filed, the atmosphere around the neighborhood has changed. Christopher began to feel uncomfortable - strange cars were often parked in front of his house for long periods of time, there were sounds of footsteps at night, and even his doorbell sometimes rang and then fell silent. He knew Elijah was beginning to smell betrayal. She tried to remain calm, acting as usual, but the paranoia kept eating away at her mind. She thought about moving, but she was still waiting for the police to make their move.

One evening, after shopping for groceries, Christopher returned home and noticed something odd. The door wasn't fully closed, the porch light was out. He entered cautiously, calling out, but there was no response. As he stepped into the living room, a voice came from behind the wall: “You shouldn't have interfered, Chris.” In the next second, three shots rang out in the dark. Christopher's body staggered, then collapsed, lying lifeless in his own living room.

Elijah stepped out of the shadows, wearing black gloves. He looked at the lying body for a moment, then said coldly, “This is how heroic people end.” He left the house quietly, reintegrating into the false calm of the neighborhood that never really slept.
