$Izymoneysniper$ Posted March 10, 2025 Posted March 10, 2025 Marvin Rivera Marvin Rivera, a perfect mixture of African and Latin American descent, a fair share of two worlds that happen to coexist, yet live in an opposite direction. His mother is of African American descent and his father was a strongly cultured chicano. Being raised in a lower-middle class family, Rivera spent his childhood in Ganton. Rivera was surrounded by delinquents, a common issue addressed to a gang-infested environment. Dominantly influenced by his mother’s culture rather than his father’s, Rivera adopted only a bit of his father’s physical features and surname, not the lingos and ceremonies. All of that happened because his father made an absence in his life when he stepped into the third grade and did not appear ever since. Notwithstanding that he doesn't know his father well, Rivera has his father's latino heat nature since the beginning. He knows how to talk, to attract people, and to build trust. He aces each of them. Therefore, Rivera exhibited a proof of gift to become a pure "sales person" at his early age. In seventh grade, he made eighty dollars a week out of bootleg branded sneakers and t-shirts. In eighth grade, he earned even better. Rivera made two hundred dollars a week out of authentic sneakers and t-shirts. His good earnings didn’t come from luck or the quality of the products, it came straight from his outstanding pitch. Communication mastery is his biggest weapon. Rivera never had enough, he shifted to a larger, more profitable, yet riskier scheme, which was selling psychoactive drug in school. Rivera began to fetch weed from his fellow gangster neighbors and made sales mostly at school. He earned five hundred dollars a week in ninth grade, and he was doing better than ever. His mother hadn't known any of these. Forced to leave his fancy weed life behind, his mother brought Rivera along to pursue New York. The mother promised Rivera a better life than being neglected by his father in LS. She worked as a teacher, while Rivera spent his high school years in Harlem, at the same school where his mother worked. However, Marvin lived in a rougher and tougher neighborhood than before, when it came to drugs. He linked up with a local drug supplier, sold mostly MDMA to plenty of dope fiends, and fetched at least a thousand dollars a week. Rivera also had a few stint jobs after graduating. He had worked as a nightclub bouncer, bartender, and stockbroker at a very small brokerage firm in Harlem. The firm didn’t require him a degree, they just loved the fact that Marvin Rivera is a communicating savant. Rivera worked for eight months, and made sixty thousand dollars out of nine cold-calls. When the grand check came down, he left his trapper life for good. But things somehow turned south, he got pulled over in the middle of the night for speeding on the Long Island Expressway, and then arrested for small amount of ecstasy possession, consumption, and driving under the influence. Rivera simply got expelled from the firm and locked up in jail. Years of jail and rehab had passed, he could eventually breathe the fresh air. Rivera went to see his mother, but their relationship wasn’t like the way it used to be. His mother hated him now, and finally knew the fact that he was a drug dealer in some point of his life. She didn’t want anything but him gone. Marvin's life turned upside down. He sold his beemer, lost all of his money to pay the fine, and most importantly neglected by the only family he has, his mother. Rivera departed from her, rented the cheapest place to stay in Queens, and started his life over, striving to find jobs here and there. It wasn’t easy for an ex-inmate to settle for a steady gig without being looked down by every company. Four months with nothing but stagnation, Rivera's heart is ushered into going back to Los Santos and converging with his old-friend who knows him more than anyone else, Dale Covin, in hope he can get his life together. He doesn't care about what will happen later in LS, whether he'll get kicked to the curb or welcomed, have the fortune in his favor or die trying, because the voices in his head keep telling him: "Life is too short to worry about uncertainty!"
