Since childhood, Tanner Hunt's life could be said to be very difficult; his father was a drug dealer who frequently went in and out of prison, while his mother worked at a nightclub in their area. At the age of thirteen, Tanner Hunt had to be left again by his father because he had just been caught by the police for stealing from a jewelry store. At that time, Tanner Hunt was playing with his friends at home, he was very surprised to hear the news, and the next day he and his mother visited his father in prison. Three years have passed, and at the age of sixteen, Tanner Hunt, who felt his life was becoming increasingly difficult due to his father being in prison, had to drop out of school and help his mother earn extra income. He went to a cafe owned by a friend of Tanner Hunt's father. Upon arriving there, Tanner Hunt asked his father's friend to hire him so he could earn some extra money. Initially, his father's friend was hesitant to accept him, but after Tanner Hunt tried to persuade him and shared the story of his father being imprisoned and the family's worsening financial situation, the restaurant manager finally agreed to hire Tanner Hunt. He was happy, and as soon as he got home, he immediately told his mother. After working there for a few months, one night when Tanner Hunt was about to close the cafe, some kids his age came in. Tanner Hunt was shocked to find out they had come to rob the cafe. Out of fear, Tanner Hunt ended up giving them some money from the cafe's cash register. Tanner Hunt, traumatized by the incident, decided to quit his job. While Tanner Hunt was sitting in his yard, he was visited by a friend. The purpose of his friend's visit was to offer Tanner Hunt a job. Curious about the job, Tanner asked what it entailed. His friend replied that Tanner only needed to deliver drug packages sent from abroad. Tanner inquired about the salary for the job, and after learning that it was higher than his previous job, Tanner accepted the offer and started working two days later. One time, while Tanner Hunt was delivering a package of drugs, he was caught by the police who were on the road. He panicked and immediately fled. After feeling safe and no longer being pursued by the police, Tanner Hunt, feeling that his life was no longer safe there, decided to go to Los Santos. He hoped that in Los Santos, Tanner Hunt would find a better job, and he hoped that his life in Los Santos would be better than when he was in the United States. He packed his things and immediately left for Los Santos to continue his life there.
