At a tender age, Voshon and his progenitor sought avenues to generate income, with Voshon predominantly depending on his father for sustenance and survival. Voshon’s journey took a darker turn as he began to navigate the complexities of his new environment. While initially focused on academics and sports, the allure of camaraderie and belonging soon drew him into a different world one that was fraught with danger and temptation. As he settled into life at Cross Creek High School, Voshon encountered a group of students who exuded confidence and charisma. They were known as the "School Yards Gang.," a local gang that had established its presence in the neighborhood. Intrigued by their sense of unity and the power they wielded, Voshon found himself increasingly drawn to them. The thrill of being part of something larger than himself was intoxicating, especially after years of feeling like an outsider. Voshon's soon found himself beset by ennui due to the monotony of his life. This led him to explore his creative side, crafting and inventing unique melodies and instruments using only his mouth. This newfound passion drew him inexorably into the world of music.With the resources at his disposal, Voshon established a small music studio, which he filled with his friends to create musical instruments. Before long, they had fully immersed themselves in this musical endeavor, becoming integral components of the local music scene.Despite their active involvement in music, Voshon and his friends continued to maintain affiliations with the gangster elements in their environment. This dual existence did not hinder their creative pursuits, as they began to compose songs that garnered recognition from the people in their surrounding community. Their musical endeavors flourished, earning them a reputation as talented musicians, even as they navigated the complexities of their gang affiliations. This blend of artistic expression and street life defined their journey, as they continued to produce music that resonated with those around them.
