He was born after the Berlin Wall fell, which separated east and west Berlin. But before that happened, Karl Father was a diplomat working for the United States in East Berlin, and while in East Berlin, his father married the local girl there. But after just two months, his father was expelled from East Berlin after trying to sabotage the power plant, but his wife was already pregnant. He was very worried about her being pregnant. He often checked his condition by using a secret telephone from West Berlin, but after the wall collapse and the re-unification of Germany, he soon asked her to go with him to the United States, where he could live without fear of the communist regime. The couple moved from Germany to the United States, where Karl was raised by his parents. When he was a child, he always wanted to be someone who saved somebody's life. He wanted to become a Doctor who saved many lives by using his own hand. His parents were very supportive of his decision to become a doctor, even paying for his university tuition after he grew up and became a teenager. Karl was focusing on studying medicine for over seventeen years and getting his PhD degree. He worked for his uncle for several months in the clinic while looking for an opportunity to work at the hospital. Then he got a message from a friend that Los Santos is currently looking for professional medical personnel. Without any hesitation, he told his parents that he needed to go to Los Santos to achieve his goal of being a doctor. His parents were sad, but they had no choice but to let their only son go. After arriving at the Los Santos airport, he was ready to start a new life far from his home.
