Edgar Moya is the child of a black man named Omar Harden and his wife, a Hispanic descendant named Izabelle Moya Atenas. Edgar Moya was born when Omar was 18 years old, while Izabelle was still 17 years old. Edgar Moya is the result of casual relationships that occurred among teenagers in the Bronx. At that time, Omar Harden was a member of a gang affiliated with the Black Disciples Gang. After Edgar's birth, Omar Harden eventually left his criminal life with the gang and focused on his family. Fortunately, Omar's father, who is Edgar's grandfather, is a policeman and has a business with many branches in several cities. When Edgar was 18, Omar was instructed by Edgar's grandfather to manage his store in Los Santos. Edgar and his father then went to Los Santos and settled on Monte Vista Avenue. Edgar then socialized with teenagers in his neighborhood who are members of a gang called Monte Vista Flats 13, also known as Flateros. He also befriended the most respected person in the gang, Daniel Urena. One day, Daniel gave Edgar advice to make his own bread and not just rely on his parents. Urena explained many things about the harshness of life, and hearing this, Edgar became enthusiastic and inspired by Urena's words Later, Edgar's father put him in a school near their neighborhood, Crenshaw High School. At the same time, Edgar expressed his desire to make his own cheese to Urena. Urena responded it by giving Edgar some grams of drugs to sell at school. Edgar noticed that the prices given by Urena were much cheaper than his competitors among fellow drug dealers at Crenshaw High School. Because of this, many of the other students who were also selling drugs at the school didn't like Edgar. Eventually, two of them challenged Edgar to fight in a alleyway near Crenshaw Basketball Court.
