Matthew is the son of a detective named Jonathan Scott Marshall and his mother is Laura Anne Marshall, who works as a Homeland Security agent. Matthew has aspired since junior high school to become a Navy Seals, the special forces of the United States navy. One of the things that motivated him to become a Navy Seals was the operation conducted by US special forces Seal Team 6 in Abbottabad, Pakistan on May 2, 2011 that killed Osama Bin Laden, the founder of Al Qaeda. After completing the application process and passing the initial selection, Matthew underwent basic military training, also known as boot camp, in San Diego, California for approximately 13 weeks. This was followed by pre-deployment training at the Naval Special Warfare Center in Coronado, California for several weeks, and then the BUD/S (Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL) training, which lasted for 6 months. After completing all the training processes, Matthew had the opportunity to choose his specialization and he chose to become a Special Operations Combat Medic. He received specialized training at the Naval Special Warfare Center in Coronado, California for one year. Six months later, Matthew completed all his training and was commissioned with the rank of Petty Officer Third Class in Little Creek, Virginia at Joint Expeditionary Base-Little Creek, and Matthew joined the Seal Team 8 unit, which focuses on operations in the Europe, Africa and Middle East region. At Easter Basin Naval Station Matthew and several other newly assigned Navy Seals at Easter Basin Naval Station, San Fierro were formed a new unit by the Naval Special Forces Command, Seal Team 11, which will focus on Central America and the Caribbean islands, North America, South America and Asia. In between his work as a member of the Navy Seals, Matthew created a community called Military Association Network, this community contains members of the United States military from both the US Army, US Navy, US Marine Corps, US Coast Guard, US Air Force, US Air National Guard, and US Space Force based at Pier 69, the community has also set up a cafe business on Pier 69 run by some members of the community, with a portion of the profits going to humanitarian aid, helping active military members or veterans with economic problems, and other charitable causes.
