His father, David Samuel Goldstein, is a Jewish Mafia boss in Chicago, particularly in Oak Park. Since Benjamin was still in the womb, Goldstein wanted him to be his successor and continue his father's business in Chicago. At the age of 15, Benjamin was often taken by his father, Goldstein, to Oak Park to see how Goldstein worked, although he felt forced and bored because in Oak Park he only met people aged 30 to 50 and had no friends. Sometimes, he would secretly play with the children around Oak Park, but some parents of Benjamin's friends prohibited their children from playing with him because of his father's job. Benjamin was also forbidden by his father to play with local children for his safety. As time went by and Benjamin grew up, he slowly adapted to his environment. After graduating from high school, Goldstein asked Benjamin to help him in the family business, but Benjamin refused because he wanted to go to college first. Goldstein agreed to Benjamin's request, and he attended law school at one of the universities in Chicago. Several years later, after completing his undergraduate studies, Goldstein reminded Benjamin of his promise to help in the family business, but Goldstein reconsidered due to Benjamin's young age and Goldstein also thought Benjamin's legal knowledge would be very useful when Goldstein or his subordinates were involved in legal issues. Finally, Goldstein ordered Benjamin to continue his legal education to obtain a Juris Doctor degree. Three years later, Benjamin completed his Juris Doctor program and successfully passed the Illinois state bar exam, obtaining his license to practice law in the state of Illinois. After Benjamin completed all his education, he was given a choice by Goldstein, which was to either help his father in the business or work as a lawyer for a few years. Benjamin chose the second option because he wanted to build his career in the legal field. Benjamin started his career as a state-level attorney in 2012. As time went on, and after three years of being a lawyer, Benjamin started to gain recognition in Chicago because he successfully won several cases he handled in the past year. From there, Benjamin's career began to flourish, and two years later, Benjamin applied to the federal court to become a federal-level attorney. After a few months of applying, his application was accepted, and Benjamin underwent evaluation and interviews before finally being granted permission to practice at the federal level. He was granted the permission and became a federal-level attorney for two years until one day, Goldstein's subordinate named Daniel Adam Cohen got involved in a DEA drug trafficking case. Benjamin became Adam's attorney and handled his case. The case lasted for several months until the Deliberation stage, and the decision was that Daniel was found guilty and would enter the sentencing stage in two weeks. Two weeks later, Daniel's sentencing trial took place, attended by Goldstein and some of his subordinates, and at that time, Benjamin, as Daniel's attorney, argued with the prosecutor and achieved a result that greatly helped Daniel, as his prison sentence was lower than the prosecutor's demand, according to Daniel's wishes. Daniel's case was resolved. Seeing that Benjamin had become a great attorney, Goldstein abandoned his intention to pass on his business to Benjamin because he thought Benjamin would refuse and prefer to be a lawyer. However, after the trial was over, Benjamin met with Goldstein, his father, to discuss what had been planned by his father for several years. After a lengthy conversation with his father, Goldstein, Benjamin decided to quit being a lawyer but still held and renewed his attorney license because Benjamin thought it would be very useful if he got involved in legal troubles. Benjamin then became actively involved with his father in managing the illegal business that had been built by Benjamin's grandfather for several years. While running this dirty business, Benjamin often used his legal knowledge to intimidate victims and when dealing with the police, so many police officers were reluctant to deal with Benjamin. However, everything done by Benjamin and Goldstein, along with their subordinates, was monitored by the FBI and observed by the DEA, and investigated by the local Chicago police, and there was an undercover DEA agent there. Several months later, after the Chicago PD felt that enough evidence had been collected, they prepared to arrest Benjamin, Goldstein, and their subordinates in Oak Park. When the Chicago PD group was getting closer to the Oak Park area, the federal law enforcement officers investigating Goldstein intercepted the police and at that place, there were six federal agents from different agencies, with two from the FBI, two from the DEA, and the remaining two from the ATF. It turned out that the Mafia was also being investigated by the ATF for tobacco smuggling and illegal firearms trading, and the law enforcement officers worked together despite some debate. Luckily, one of the Mafia members, Daniel, who had been helped by Benjamin, witnessed the situation and informed Benjamin about it. After hearing that, Benjamin, hearing that, Benjamin, along with Goldstein and his subordinates, left the Oak Park area. Benjamin, Goldstein, and Goldstein's right-hand man planned to leave Chicago and escape to Santa Lucia, Cuba. Before leaving, they withdrew as much money as they could from the bank for their supplies. They would be passing through three states: Kentucky, Tennessee, and ending in Mississippi, starting from the edge of Illinois, Chicago, and crossing the vast Gulf of Mexico. They chose Cuba because the United States did not have diplomatic relations with Cuba, but there was a possibility that they would be put on Interpol's red notice. The journey began and took several weeks as they used trains and rental cars. They were now fugitives and targets of US Marshals and bounty hunters in several states. During their journey, they were almost caught several times, but they managed to hide and even kill officers who tried to apprehend them. At one point, while Benjamin, Goldstein, and Goldstein's right-hand man stopped to eat at a restaurant for 30 minutes, they were spotted by two bounty hunters. A gunfight broke out between them. Goldstein's right-hand man was preparing the car while Benjamin and Goldstein were chatting inside the restaurant. They encountered the two bounty hunters who were taking a break and eating. The bounty hunters immediately pointed their guns at Goldstein and Benjamin. Benjamin tried to pay them off, but the bounty hunters refused. Goldstein then pulled out his gun and shot at the bounty hunters, but unfortunately, Goldstein was also shot. He instructed Benjamin to continue his journey without him. Benjamin ran towards the parking lot, got in the car, and escaped with Goldstein's right-hand man. A few days later, Benjamin and Goldstein's right-hand man arrived in Biloxi, Mississippi. They bought a used yacht for $550,000, and now they only had $5000 left. They stocked up on a lot of food and drinks in preparation for their journey to Santa Lucia. They crossed the Gulf of Mexico for several days. In the middle of the ocean, Benjamin and Goldstein's right-hand man couldn't continue their journey and chose the second option, which was the state of San Andreas located in the Gulf of Mexico. Benjamin and Goldstein's right-hand man also considered going to San Andreas because it was far from other states and had fewer federal agents. They arrived in San Andreas, specifically at Pier Playa del Seville in the city of Los Santos. They continued their lives in Los Santos as federal fugitives and Interpol fugitives. In Los Santos, Benjamin worked as a taxi driver, and Goldstein's right-hand man worked as a farmer. Benjamin thought about rebuilding the business he used to run, but he still had a lot to prepare. Right now, Benjamin is still adapting to the environment in San Andreas, especially Los Santos, and is still preparing a lot to rebuild the same business he used to run. One day, Benjamin watched the news about a mafia boss named David Samuel Goldstein who was killed in a shootout with bounty hunters in Tennessee. Upon hearing the news, Benjamin felt sad, but it didn't dampen his spirit to rebuild the same business he used to run.
