He is the first child of Nicholas Stanway who is a former player at Club Millwall. Solly mother works in a nearby restaurant so she can be close to her son. When he was 3 years old, he had a younger brother named Tammy Stanway. Solly was very happy and wanted to play football with him when he was older. When Solly was 7 years old, his father and Tammy took him to watch a Millwall match at The Den stadium. That was the first time Solly really loved the game of football and always wanted to support Club Millway. When Solly was a teenager, he always hung out with naughty kids. At the age of 16, Solly became a heavy smoker, he always secretly left the house just to smoke because he was afraid of being discovered by his father. April 2013, Millway met Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup semi-final. Solly and his brother were invited to watch the match. unfortunately, Millwall lost which caused violence to occur in the stands. Solly and his brother were arrested by the police for resisting, they were taken to the office. When his parents released him on bail, Solly, as an older brother, was severely scolded because this made him depressed and he spent the rest of his time smoking and being alone. A few days later he was caught smoking and his father scolded him. Solly was almost kicked out of the house because of this, in the end his parents gave up and just let him be. 24 August 2018, Millwall met tough opponents, namely West Ham United, in the Carabao Cup quarterfinals. the match was held at The Den, which is Millwall's home ground. Millwall won the match with a score of 2-1, while outside the stadium Bushwackers were celebrating their victory, and at that time The Hammers attacked. There were 3 people who died and many were injured. Solly and his younger brother were arrested because they were at the scene, after 3 days they were finally released. Because of this incident, Solly finally behaved more maturely and tried to control his emotions as the eldest child. Since then, their family decided to move and look for a better life in Los Santos.
