Raised by both parents, Jerderial Mays has a quiet nature and doesn't talk much to people he doesn't know because he's shy and also insensitive to his surroundings, namely, his father named Jamerell Mays and his mother named Juli Mays. His father, who worked as a food vendor and his mother was a homemaker, made him have to make money from childhood by helping his father sell. From a simple and sufficient family background, it made him a fairly talented child in his environment. Jerderial Mays is a child who is quite diligent in his school days because he has a good environment and a family that supports him. He has dreams of becoming a basketball player, making him have to be diligent and achieve his goals because that has been his dream since childhood. During his school days, he participated in basketball at his school and often won basketball championships for his school. Jerderial Mays also earned money from playing basketball because he often won several competitions. At the end of his graduating year, Jerderial Mays suffered a leg injury that kept him from playing basketball for several months, which made him give up hope of becoming a professional basketball player. After graduating from school, Jerderial Mays became unemployed for several months because he had given up hope of becoming a professional basketball player and did not want to be anything. His family persuaded him to drop out and find a decent job because his parents were aging and sickly. Jerderial Mays looked for work around town but couldn't get it, and most were not accepted into the job. Jerderial Mays tried to sell food like his father around the area where they lived, but the business was not very good and instead made him bankrupt. When Jerderial Mays saw an advertisement on his phone that there was a bar in Los Santos that needed workers, Jerderial tried to work there and was accepted.
