Her husband named Marcus Mings, they was blessed with a newborn baby and enveloped with happiness. The newborn baby was called Derrick Mings, little did he know Derrick was a far cousin of Canary Pitts. One month before Derrick was born, a married couple Cassandra & Marcus was lived on high class housing where the crime rate was very low. But they had to moved from that cluster and set their foot on Van Ness Avenue Los Angeles, California. Derrick was grew up on a tough neighborhood since his family decide to move due to Marcus bankruptcy, he's grow under the gang rivalry between Rollin 90s Neighborhood Crips (R90NHC) and Van Ness Gangster Brims (VNG) and/or Rollin 50s Brims (R50s). Derrick family always lived under the potential threat of a gang violence, that things what makes his ghetto mentality develop as long as the times goes. When Derrick hit thirteen years old a terrible tragedy was befell his father that we known as Marcus Mings. His father got shot four times in a row, 3 bullets are penetrating his feet and the last one hits his belly, Jesus still bless Derrick's father that he still alive after the disaster what almost blow him to the grave, Marcus just getting comma causes the last one bullet that penetrated his belly it makes him loses so many bloods. After detectives investigated the case he knows that one of R50s gang-member was shoot his father back then, they thought that Marcus (Derrick Father) was affiliates with R90NHC. Suspect was jailed under first degree murder sentence. Five years after the tragedy, Derrick was hit eighteen years old, he was hit his legal age and immediately continue his education to college, as everyone knows that if teenager was hits the puberty they slowly turns to a rebel person, Derrick's do the same just like other teenagers, he's start consuming an illegal things and start playing with a guns. One day when he was in college, he does a big war with a lecturer, his lecture caught him brings a teener (around 2 grams) of meths, he refuses that he carried those things inside but the lecture still on his way, Derrick can't keep it cool he was be able to punch his lecturer. After that, he was kicked out from the college and ended his career as a student.
