Jamal's father is named Dave while Jamal's mother is named Aisha. Jamal is a child of African-American descent, African blood flows from a mother while American blood flows from his father's blood. When he was 10 years old Jamal got the bad news that his grandparents experienced a tragedy that was quite heartbreaking that his grandparents' house burned down because someone deliberately burned his grandfather's house silently, in that incident his grandparents were killed, Jamal was devastated to hear the incident because they were very close. 8 years passed quickly, Jamal's family had accepted the departure of his grandparents Jamal, life went on normally as before, Jamal came to church every Sunday to pray for his dead family. But Jamal's family is again in financial crisis as Jamal's father is fired from his job. Jamal's father used to work as a taxi from the beginning Jamal's father's income did not meet daily needs, Jamal's parents always went to find loan money from his relatives, and from the bank, but Jamal's family debt was already very much, Jamal as a child was confused about what to do, Jamal's friend named Clark invited Jamal to rob the supermarket because Clark knew Jamal's family was experiencing a money crisis, Jamal receives an offer from Clark to rob a supermarket not far from where they live, when robbing the supermarket the supermarket guard has called the police because Clark is careless guarding employees at the supermarket, As a result, the robbery failed, Jamal and Clark immediately fled the robbery scene in panic, fortunately the evidence when they robbed a little, because they carried out the robbery was well thought out. 5 years have passed, now Jamal for 5 years rarely leaves the house because he is still afraid of the police because of the incident 5 years ago. When Jamal was told by his mother to buy some drinks at the supermarket, Jamal accidentally saw many gatherings of people around the flats located in the Ganton area. Jamal went to the people in the blues flat, Jamal chatted with them, Oglin gave Jamal the street name Ruck, Jamal on that day Jamal began to mingle with them, Jamal every day came to those flats to hang out with them.
