Rodell Ottey resided in an area notorious for gang violence until he turned 15. It became apparent to Rodell Ottey that the situation, marked by increasing violence and crime among gang members, had become uncontrollable. Consequently, Rodell Ottey, along with his family, made the deliberate choice to relocate to the Eastside of Compton, Los Angeles County, where they encountered a similar environment. In the Eastside neighborhood, Rodell Ottey lived among the E/S Rollin 20s Outlaws Bloods. Gunshots were a common sound near his residence, prompting Rodell Ottey to establish his own subgroup within the gang, known as the Low Bottom Trenches. Rodell Ottey's leadership and business acumen led to the successful expansion of his cocaine enterprise, earning him the moniker "Rompton" in that community. Rodell Ottey gained heightened respect from fellow gang members for his achievements. However, the situation took a turn when Rodell Ottey and his friends found themselves cornered by the Southside Los Angeles Police Department in their neighborhood. Rodell Ottey and three friends managed to elude the SAPD, but other gang members weren't as fortunate. Rodell Ottey distinctly heard gunshots during the confrontation between the SAPD and the remaining gang members. Consequently, he decided to relocate to the Crystal Garden area on the Westside of Los Angeles County, where he settled with Keywon Branch and Shakur Greene. In this new neighborhood, Rodell Ottey embarked on a fresh journey with members of the Tree Top Piru gang.
