He was born from the womb of a long-time single mother, accompanied by his grandmother at the hospital. Derrek was born normally but unfortunately his mother's life could not be saved at the time of his birth. His grandmother was quite depressed at the time hearing the news given by the doctor, considering that her family was quite a crisis in terms of economy, even only Derrek's mother worked to support the family, the grandmother was silent for a moment thinking about how to raise Derrek without a job. The next day after Derrek and his grandmother stayed overnight at the hospital, they were finally allowed to go home, and when the grandmother wanted to ask about the cost of everything, the doctor gave the news that all their expenses had been paid by someone, immediately the grandmother cried and thanked God very much. Now the two of them arrived at their home, fortunately their neighbors were very kind to them, her grandmother told them everything about their economic situation with the intention of providing for Derrek, and in the end they agreed to adopt Derrek as their child, of course her grandmother was very happy to hear it. Now that Derrek has grown up, his grandmother tells him about what happened to his mother and father and their lives. Derrek is quite sad after hearing all that, but Derrek can accept everything, the grandmother also works in the neighbor's house. Derrek is very grateful to his adoptive father and mother, not only was he raised by them but also Derrek received funding from them for his schooling until Derrek graduated from high school. After Derrek graduated he decided not to continue his studies and also Derrek left his adoptive family and had the desire to live with his grandmother alone. And also Derrek promised his adoptive family that he would return their favor someday when he had become successful.
