Born into a life marked by adversity and struggle in the heart of Los Angeles, Jason Ruelas became intimately acquainted with the web of criminality that entangled his community. He was a troublemaker in Southern California. He used to do things that weren't right and got into a lot of problems. But then, he got connected with the New Mexican Mafia and became a part of that group. This was a big change for him, the enigma of Jason Ruelas' tale beckons contemplation of the ethical and moral dilemmas he faces. It raises questions about the cost of power. Jason opts to relocate to Los Santos. His decision to transition from his previous location to this new urban setting could stem from a variety of considerations. Jason's decision to uproot his life and transplant his aspirations to the tumultuous landscape of Los Santos marked a pivotal turning point. Strapped with knowledge garnered, and capability of being a street-smart from his days in Los Angeles, he set out to seize control over this territory, intent on navigating the treacherous waters of organized crime within a new setting. Jason then crosses paths with two old-timers to the syndicate, Derek Pousa and Terry Garcia who appears to be running down the locality, which is the Monte Vista Flats. It’s a neighborhood ripe with potential for criminal enterprises, became the canvas upon which Jason would paint his legacy. It’s filled by surenos gang, and they have control over that area. They make the rules there and have a reputation for being connected with a larger gang called La eMe, or also known as the Mexican Mafia itself. They're like the bosses of the smaller groups and have influence over them. Jason’s deciding to start this journey is a big turning point in his life story.
