Martin has Italian-American blood. His dad, Luca Martinelli, is a dock laborer working on the well-known docks in his hometown, Italy. His dad left young Martin since Martin was only 6 years old. His dad was found drowned, killed by the mafia boss who was in charge of the docks his dad was working at. Martin and his mom then moved to Los Santos, the place that they thought was safer than their own hometown. Martin didn’t pass his High School. His mom was sick when he was in the 11th grade. Then he chose to work, earning money for his mom’s medicine. Martin earns his own money by washing someone's car. It’s not a big earning but by saving, he thinks that he could help his mom’s medicine. Even though he could buy the medicine for his mom, but his mom’s life is no longer anymore. His mom left him when he’s 21 years old. What a poor lad. Martin then goes to one of the small bars in Los Santos. He drinks a lot of alcoholic drinks there. He starts to feel dizzy, he’s a bit drunk. There’s someone that says something wrong to Martin that seems insulting to him. Martin starts to get pissed off. He then pushes him. The man seems pissed off too. He took one of the empty glass bottles, then he hit Martin’s head with the empty glass bottle. It hits really hard. Someone in the bar then called an Ambulance. Martin was brought to the hospital. The doctors at the hospital were stitching up Martin’s wound. And from that night, the wounds are leaving a lot of stitches on Martin’s face. It was how William Martinelli called by a nickname “Willy Stitches”.
