In Winchester, England. The son of Kian and Layla Berry, and the brother of Andy Berry. Cameron had always been a smart boy. He was among the first to be able to read in kindergarten. And in elementary school, Cameron is one of the most intelligent kids in his school. In middle school, he met his best friend, Cody Lawson. Those two are like two peas in a pod. If you see Cody, you'll see Cameron and vice versa. They are inseparable. Even though they went to different High Schools, they always kept in contact with each other. They ended up in the same college when they graduated, however. At the young age of 22, Cameron graduated from college with an economics major along with Cody. They had planned to open a business together since the start of college. After a few months of groundwork, they are finally open for business. Everything was smooth sailing in the beginning. Cameron and Cody celebrated the success of the business opening with their families together in a fancy restaurant. Cameron's father was as proud as any father can be. His mother immediately told her mom-friends, unsurprisingly. And his little brother jokingly asks Cameron to buy stuff for him. As for Cody, his mom was so proud of him to the point that she almost broke down crying. All went well. On one uneventful night, Cameron bit off more than he could chew. After losing a year's worth of salary, Cameron, who was hopeless at the time, got persuaded to make a loan of $100,000 by a local loan shark to make up for his loss. Unfortunately, Cameron lost all the loan money instead of getting back his losses. The loan shark threatened Cameron and said "If you don't pay the loan I gave to you within two months, there are gonna be consequences, Cam." to Cameron, as Cameron had already signed an agreement with the loan shark. Cameron is unable to do anything other than pay him back. The loan shark also reminds Cameron that he knows where Cameron lives along with the rest of his family. On one uneventful night, Cameron bit off more than he could chew. He resorted to stealing the company shares after a month had passed. However, Cody caught Cameron trying to steal the company shares, and disappointment is immediately written all over his face. Cody caught Cameron by surprise when he suddenly said "What in the hell are you doing, Cam?" in a disappointed tone. Cameron, who was caught red-handed, came clean about everything to his long-time best friend. Cody was even more disappointed in Cameron after he told Cody everything that happened, "Why didn't you tell me? Don't you trust me? I can help you, you know, with that debt and addiction." Cody said, still disappointed. "A-Ah, about that... I didn't want to-" Cameron's sentence was cut off by Cody, "Come on, we've been best friends since we were still in middle school, Cam. Friends help each other!" Cody and Cameron went to meet the loan shark. After conversing with the loan shark, he said that the debt Cameron had to pay was $500,000. Cameron was not paying attention when he signed the agreement. So it was natural he was dumbfounded when he and Cody found out that the interest rate was 10%/day. They went to the bank after they made an agreement that they will pay it today with the loan shark. Cody withdrew a lot from his savings account. Cameron was hesitant at letting Cody pay most of the loan, with Cameron only able to pay $50,000, but it's better than letting his family get in danger. They cleared the debt on the same day. A month after the incident, Cameron resigned from "C&C LTD.". Cody tried persuading Cameron to stay, telling Cameron that it's just a one-off incident, that all Cameron has to do is go to therapy to help with his addiction, and that everything would be fine. But Cameron is dead set on not dragging the company and everyone around him down with him. His family was disappointed when they found out that Cameron had a gambling addiction, though they did their best to help Cameron get over the addiction. After he got the help he needed, he began making plans on moving to America. Three months after Cameron's resignation, the place that he had planned to go to was Los Angeles, not wanting to burden his family and his best friend by staying. Cody was surprised when he heard the news, "Seriously, Cam? just three months ago, you resigned from the business that we created together from the ground up, and now you're leaving me for America?" Cody said in an agitated tone. "Come on. You know that I'm just a burden being here. After all, America is the land of opportunity," Cameron responded. "Well, if that's what you choose to do... When are you leaving anyway?" Cody asked curiously. "I'm leaving next week. I already broke the news to my family," Cameron pats Cody in the shoulder, "After all, I'm still indebted to you because of that incident, and before you say anything, I'm not letting you let that big of a debt go," Cameron said with a somewhat reassuring tone. "Yeah, that sounds about just right for you, haha!". It's the day of Cameron's departure to Los Angeles. Cameron's family, with Cody along with his mother, are bidding Cameron farewell in the airport. A few minutes later, Cameron's plane has arrived, "I guess this is it huh, Cam?" Cody said to Cameron before he hops on board. "Yeah, don't worry Cody, I'll contact you frequently, okay?" Cameron responded. The two best friends hugged it out one last time before Cameron hops on board, tears running down their cheeks. Cameron got on the plane not long after that and put his luggage in the luggage compartment. After he sat down, his therapist texted him, bidding him farewell and telling Cameron that he should text his therapist regularly. After around 20 minutes, his plane departs, and his new life begun, in the land of opportunity.
