$ourae$ Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 Curtis Jermaine Curtis Jermaine was born in Los Santos, San Andreas, on August 17, 1990, the youngest of third sons to Frank Greenwood and Juliet Jermaine. His parents separated when he was three years old, and he was raised by his mother and stepfather. He grew up on 187th Crenshaw Street, between Jefferson and Idlewood in Los Santos. Jermaine had a half-brother, Donald Sanders, from his mother's second marriage. According to neighbors of Jermaine, he developed an affinity for fish-fighting as an adolescent, and was constantly in trouble with the San Andreas Police Departrement for various offenses. Jermaine's mother is quoted as saying, "Curtis was a good kid when he was a boy. Curtis didn't go out of his way to fight or do anything bad, but if someone came to him, he would protect himself. And he was well built. He tried to protect the street and keep the bad guys out. But after a while, every time I looked up, the police were coming to the house looking for Curtis." Some neighbors said Jermaine differently: Jeremy Whestone said, who resided across the street from Jermaine on 187th Crenshaw Street, said, "I don't have a whole lot of good to say about Jerimane. Jermaine was a bully. A muscular bully. He wouldn't let anybody from outside our street bother us. He would bother us. Jermaine could be very mean." A friend stated that Jermaine was a good football player, but never participated as a member of school sports team due to his poor grades. Jermaine was repeatedly expelled from schools resulting in frequent transfers. Jermaine, a native of the East Side in his early teens during the rise of the gangs, joined a local street gang called 20th Bloods Jefferson, led by another teenager named Anton Brooks. At age 17, Jermaine beat up Brooks's younger brother in a fist fight after discovering Brooks had put a gun to his older brother, Reggie Jermaine. After the fight, Jermaine and one of his other older brothers, Ronald Joe, confronted Brooks on the corner of 20th Jefferson Street. According to former gang members who knew Jermaine at the time, he was subsequently beaten up by Craig Westbrook in retaliation for his younger brother's beating, and Jermaine left 20th Bloods Street. In 2010, Jermaine create his own gang called the 187th Crips Crenshaw Street, recruiting a people of other neighborhood in Crenshaw Street. 187th Crips Crenshaw Street wanted to attacking a gang of older youths called 20th Bloods Jefferson, which had been active since 2001 on Jefferson Street.
