He has one siblings, his name was Ryozuki Watanabe. His father was a police officer on Kyoto. Despite of that, Watari's passion was street racing. Just like another college freshman, he goes into street racing after graduating highschool. He asks to his father to buy him a car. After one semester having a great score on his reports, his father bought him a car, a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI which he bought from an auction of impounded cars. He goes to school with his Evo everyday. Girls we're pretty amazed, he was very popular within the club. He even saves his monthly allowance just to modify his car with some accessories. He actually name his Evo, a "Lone Wolf". Watari was addicted to JDM Passion. He was invited on both legal and illegal street racing. He won on several races, sometimes he was a runner up, he never gets under 3rd place. But, his father never knows that his son was into street racing. After a while, his father knows what his son was up to and he was upset. Watari was scolded and his car keys we're taken by his father. His mother who saw that, reveals the truth to his son. His father was a street racer too back in the day, but he quit after an accident. His grandpa was crush by his father's car. His grandpa was also a policeman. After hearing all the stories, Watari decides to quit street race for a while until he was graduate. His father feel sorry after being such a hypocrite. Watari focused on his study until his graduation day. He finally graduate from his university. He said to his father that he'll move out to United States to seek for a job. His father like his idea, he agreed and let Watari goes to USA. Watari decided to move to Los Santos, then he meets with a fellow Japanese, Mikazuki. He was invited to a car club named "Los Santos Street Knights" by Mika, after knowing Watari was a good driver back then. Watari then accept the invitation and become one of the member of "Los Santos Street Knights". Focused on JDM for a while, he brings back his old habit, modifying and collecting cars.
