Upon learning this, Allen was devastated by the loss of his family and harbored a grudge against those who killed them. Allen, almost consumed by emotion and revenge, realized that revenge was not good. He began to calm down and control his emotions. After his parents left, Allen reported the incident to the downtown police department, but no one was willing to help him due to his lack of evidence.
