Terrence_Pickles Terrence Pickles is the definition of a typical Los Santos man through and through. He wasn’t raised properly, not your usual white kid from a calm and safe neighborhood with a hardworking nine-to-five father and an emotionally available mother. Pickles had it rough. He barely made it through school, scraping by. As a teenager, he made it clear to himself that what he wanted most in life was money, and he wanted it fast. At the age of 19, with nothing better lined up, Young Pickles signed up for the army. In the army, Pickles built a solid reputation during his stint in Baghdad as part of the U.S. intervention following mass protests in the region. He was hard-headed, but the military taught him how to keep that in check, where absolute obedience was required and insubordination was never tolerated. Back in school, he had been short-tempered, often getting into fights over small misunderstandings that set him off. That temper, combined with his surname—Pickles—earned him the nickname “Snappy.” True to the name, he was quick to lose his cool and snap at even the smallest provocation. The drills in the army disciplined him, but his temper is still there, waiting to flare up. After finishing his stretch back in the army, Pickles returned home and got married, only to realize that marriage wasn’t for him. Five years in, and with a son now born, he divorced his wife—again, over one of those snappy little frictions. He did a quick stint in the streets corner, making deals over some cheap pots and what not, but it turned south. He served time again, this time though, in the pen. Life spiraled downward from there. Debts piled up, substance abuse crept in, and that hunger for quick cash came creeping back, and Snappy started cutting corners, doing whatever it took to stay afloat. Pickles is now thirty years old, and he’s right back in the dirt—living up to his name, living in a pickle.
