          In late 1991, Rafael Emiliano Anarquia was born in Los Flores, Los Santos. In a neighborhood stigmatized by violence and poverty, he was born into a modest family, Rafael’s father was an undocumented immigrant from Cuba, while his mother was a local resident of Los Flores itself. Rafael had a nickname given to him by his beloved father "Flash" which is what his father often called him. Rafael’s father was an alcoholic and also suffered from mental health issues caused by trauma from the Cuban-American crisis of 1961–1962. Rafael was raised strictly by his father and forced to grow up before his time. He began working at a very young age; at 10, he started working at a garage owned by one of his father’s acquaintances as a mechanic’s assistant. There, he learned about automotive parts and how car and motorcycle engines work, which sparked his passion for automobiles especially vintage European motorcycles.

 

          At the age of 21, Rafael became interested in the military because, at that time, the war between Afghanistan and the United States was raging. Armed with his automotive knowledge, Rafael was assigned to the military’s automotive unit. During his time as a soldier, Rafael experienced many traumatic events, the sound of bombs, the sound of gunfire on the battlefield, and seeing a colleague paralyzed by a gunshot wound which led him to develop PTSD. After serving in Afghanistan for 10 years, Rafael decided to return home to Los Flores. Rafael had become a different person, his gaze was vacant, and sometimes he would shout to himself as if he were on a battlefield. This prompted his friends from his military unit to encourage Rafael to move to the countryside, where the environment and air were calmer and cleaner than in Los Santos.

 

          Blueberry, Red County. Rafael rented an old cabin and transformed it into a small repair shop that typically handles minor repairs for both small and large vehicles. Because of his deep passion for automobiles especially motorcycles. Rafael began collecting used parts from old European motorcycles to build his dream bike. Rafael isn’t the antisocial type either, sometimes he helps local mechanics, truck drivers, or even farmers solve problems related to their vehicles’ engines.
