     Wyees Love is born on December 11, 2006. He was raised in a two rooms apartment on W. Vernon Avenue, right around the corner from the O'Reilly Auto Part. He lived with his nine-year-old sister Maya who attend the elementary school on Vermont Avenue Elementary School, and a working single mothers, who prepped produce at the Superior Grocers on S. Western Avenue. Wyees moms’ shift supervisor would pick her up in his “03 Honda Accord every morning after she had just finished her night shift at the store, paying her with crack cocaine. Wyees had to return before dark to watch the Hondas tail lights gone down Vernon Avenue.

    Wyees always spent his weekends at the Vermont Square Park, shooting hoops with his best friend and future Crip partner Kamoni "KP" Page, who was exactly Wyees age and was born in “06. Wyees and KP started hanging out frequently with an older crowd outside the liquor store on the corner of W. Vernon and S. Western Avenue. Big homies from the local Crip knew that kids could be persuaded to work for them. For wads of dirty singles and half-empty packs of Newport cigarettes the old-timers had gotten their men to toss hundred-pound bags of concrete blocks into rival gang’s store fronts on W. 50th St, slap lazy blue spray paint tags on their doors, and to fire off illegal fireworks to obscure the view of the LSPD Southwest patrol cars.

     It was the Fourth of July weekend when Wyess was eighteen. Everyone in the neighborhood was talking about it; the Los Santos Police Department was raiding a significant crack operation on the corner of W. Vernon Avenue and S. Budlong Avenue. Big homies had taken a chance and made a decoy fire in an alley on the opposite side of the street, using big sparkling fireworks to supplement the gunshots, drawing off police attention. It was an elaborate ruse that backfired spectacularly, bailing out not only the big homies but the whole block. The LSPD’s Gang Enforcement Detail (GED) was after bigger names, not the minor Crips, so the authorities arrested the young gang members for felony vandalism. KP had to bear the full weight of the punishment for his friends because he had reached the age of criminal responsibility; he spent 12 years at Calipatria State Prison.

     With the red and blue cherries cutting down through the smog in the city, Wyees ran until his lungs begged for mercy. He looked behind him and saw the cops pinning KP to the pavement before having to slink away into the alleys. Watching the one cop, then the others, drag his homie to justice, being the sacrificial lamb the neighborhood needed put a bad taste in Wyees' mouth. He now eighteen and Wyees wanted proper protection and a clean set to back his name.
