Clyne Oconnor was born and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland, which is a constituent part of the United Kingdom. Life in his hometown felt stagnant and offered very little certainty for his long-term future. Facing an unstable local economy and a heavily restricted job market, Clyne had to work various odd jobs every day just to make ends meet in a financially strained environment. Personality-wise, Clyne was known as a highly hardworking and resilient individual, yet he constantly felt suffocated by a daily routine that never seemed to improve his life. He secretly harbored a grand ambition to one day change his destiny and break free from the uncomfortable economic situation that held him back for years.

 

The turning point in Clyne's life occurred when he accidentally heard news regarding one of his childhood friends who used to live in Northern Ireland. His old friend was reported to have immigrated to the United States and achieved tremendous financial success there. Unfortunately, because they had been separated for many years, Clyne had completely lost contact with him and had no idea which city his friend currently resided in. Despite lacking definitive clues or an address, the news of his friend's success reignited a powerful flame of ambition inside Clyne. He firmly believed that if his old friend could make it big in a foreign land, he also stood a fair chance to radically transform his life in America.

 

With the remainder of his hard-earned savings, Clyne made the bold decision to purchase a one-way plane ticket to the metropolitan city of Los Santos. Upon arriving at the Los Santos airport, Clyne immediately realized that searching for a single person in such a massive country without any contact information was nearly impossible. His initial efforts to trace his old friend's whereabouts yielded absolutely no results. Now, with his funds completely depleted from traveling expenses, Clyne had to face the harsh reality of being stranded alone in an unfamiliar city. Without a permanent place to stay or any acquaintances to reach out to, Clyne fully committed to temporarily pausing his search and building his life entirely from scratch in Los Santos.
