Buck Fitch was a descent man who lived in Detroit, which is a city in the United States of America.  He lives with his mom and his cousin in a small house located in one of the Detroit suburbs.  His father left when his mother gave birth to his cousin.  He never had a father figure as long as he was alive.  But the mother never told her depression about the father leaving them on her kids.  She keeps things personal and hopes her kids will be different from her father.  Buck's cousin is walking along the path his mother took and is becoming one of the smart students in his school.  Unlike his cousin, Buck seems to have had his father Puddle on his path, not a really bad one, but definitely different from his cousin.  Buck's mom started to worry a little about his choices for the future because of his indifferent personality.

 

Buck and his cousin were one year apart in age when their mother gave birth to them.  Buck and his cousin always go to the same school for education.  Buck's cousin is a pretty nerdy kid in his class, and he often gets teased by his classmates.  Buck, being the oldest brother, always looked out for his cousin and sometimes had to handle the bullies, whether they just talked mean or acted really harsh.  Because of that behavior, Buck usually ended up getting a detention from the principal, made his mom very angry, and got grounded from his bedroom.  Because of how his mom treated him, Buck became more determined to do something that teenagers usually aren't supposed to do.  His mom saw him with a wet hand while he was doing his tasks.  The mom can't wait anymore, so she kicks Buck out of the house and doesn't give him any money at all.  Buck knew that someday things would get bad, so he had already set aside a place to stay and some money to get through a tough time.

 

Even though his mom had already scolded him, he still cared about both his brother and his mom. Sometimes he would go to his brother's school to visit him, give him some money, and ask his brother to give half of it to their mother. His brother wondered where Buck got so much money. Buck just mentioned that he worked on a place. His brother clearly knew he was lying just by looking into his eyes, but he didn't say anything. At least he knew that he was responsible for his family. Buck's cousin finished high school, and he received a scholarship to study at Cambridge University. The mother was very happy about it and became even more joyful when the brother asked her to go with him to the UK. Buck, who was told by his brother about his achievement, can't feel any happier than he does now. He hopes that his brother and mother stay safe in another country.
