    It was a peaceful afternoon when Jazlynn Bennett asked Zachary Vilvfred to meet her at a private apartment complex. She said she wanted to talk to him somewhere quiet, without any distractions. Zachary didn't think twice about it he trusted her completely. Over the months, she had gained his trust, and he didn't suspect anything out of the ordinary. So, he agreed to go with her, expecting just a normal conversation. As they walked to the complex, he had no idea what was really going on. The fact that it was secluded didn't even cross his mind as weird, because he felt comfortable around her. He just thought they were going to have a quiet talk, like she said. But, as it turned out, that wasn't the case at all.

 

   As they got to the apartment complex, Zachary noticed how quiet it was. The hallways were empty, there was no one around, and it was really still. This made him feel weird. Jazlynn said they should go inside, but Zachary didn't want to. He wanted to stay outside where he could see everything. He felt better when he could see what was going on around him. Jazlynn didn't argue, she just stood there with him, like everything was normal. The silence was kind of creepy, but Zachary felt safer outside. He could watch the building and the area, and that made him feel a little better. Jazlynn seemed okay with waiting, so they just stood there, looking at the apartment complex. It was strange, but Zachary couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.

 

    Time seemed to stand still as the two of them just stared at each other, the air thickening with tension. Every second that ticked by made the silence feel more and more suffocating. It was as if the whole world was holding its breath, waiting for something to happen. And then, out of nowhere, a figure emerged from the darkness. He was wearing a mask, and his hands were wrapped tightly around a shotgun. Everything that followed happened in the blink of an eye. Before Zachary could even process what was going on, the man had pulled the trigger, unleashing a blast that was like thunder in the empty complex. The sound was deafening, and it struck Zachary with incredible force, sending him crashing to the ground. The cold pavement rushed up to meet him, and for a moment, everything went black.
