$Raffie$ Posted April 20 Posted April 20 PROLOGUE Shui Long Associate, a small triad, is striving to survive in the fiercely competitive underworld of Hong Kong. Facing powerful syndicates and competing triad gangs that emerged, the triad had to operate within a limited territory where expansion was not feasible. It operates under the leadership of Stephen Wang (Wang Ka-Shing a.k.a. Blue Dragon). Even though he is known for his strict and violent character, he chose to stay low for now. THE ARRIVAL Johnny Wang, who was the first-born son of Ka-Shing, moved from Hong Kong to Los Santos many years ago in search of freedom from the oppressive nature of politics among the triads. He moved to Los Santos and settled in Hawick Ave, Alta. Around that area, there is a local market where the Chinese set up their stalls to make a living. In that market, Johnny Wang got himself a job as a shop helper at one of the stalls. But instead of enjoying a peaceful environment, Johnny Wang faced issues of extortion, discrimination, and instability in the market. Unable to watch his community suffer any longer, Johnny Wang gathered some of his trusted friends he met at the market and chose to stand their ground. Eventually, Johnny managed to chase away the intruders, therefore, he gained some respect from the community. They seem to rely on him, since his presence around the market makes the local thugs give a second thought before they mess around the market. EXPANSION News of Johnny’s growing influence reached his family back in Hong Kong, bringing both pride and concern due to his impulsive nature. Hanny Wang, the third-born daughter of Ka-Shing, knew her brother better than anyone in the house. For her, Johnny’s increasing influence was not a good thing, but rather a ticking time bomb, as he would sooner or later come under the attention of those who were much more deadly than small street thugs in Los Santos. Afterwards, she went to their father, Ka-Shing, and asked for permission to travel to Los Santos to support her brother. However, Ka-Shing declined her offers because he did not want to take the risk to send another child to the unknown city. However, Hanny never gave up, she persistently argued with her father, and she also pointed out that Johnny’s uncontrolled growth would lead to disaster, but on the other hand, if Johnny’s influence and courage combined with her ideas and plans, it could lead to something bigger. Hearing that, Ka-Shing finally gave in, but under a few conditions, which are that Hanny should not be involved in any dark business later that Johnny will run, he wanted her to stay behind the scenes, and her presence is only as an advisor and not more than that. Hanny agrees, and so they finally come to an agreement. Ka-Shing gathers up two of his trustworthy men, Hong and Brendan ‘Yu’ Zhang, along with his second-born son, Kenneth Wang. He wants them to accompany Hanny during her stay in the city, to ensure her safety. As for Kenneth, Ka-Shing has another plan for him. Under the organization Johnny built, Ka-Shing wants Kenneth to seek any opportunity to expand their underground business to the city of Los Santos. CHAPTER I : RISE OF THE SAN SHUI SYNDICATE Kenneth and Hanny arrived at Los Santos with Brendan and Hong. The news made its way to Johnny Wang, but rather than being relieved, it only brought tension. Johnny had a deeper knowledge about this city than the newcomers. It seems that for him, it was unnecessary and even dangerous for his family members to step into this uncertain world. When they finally met, the reunion carried more weight than warmth. To clear up the misunderstanding, they tried to clarify the situation to Johnny as soon as they arrived. They explained that their presence were not here to interfere, but to strengthen and improvised upon what he had done. They saw what he had achieved, and thought that if they worked together the organization could become something much larger. At first Johnny appeared hesitant to accept their proposal. But as they talked more, he began to view it not as someone trying to take over but as a chance to make what he started more stable. He started to see the benefits of working together with his siblings, The organization was something he had built from the ground up. Johnny wanted to make sure it succeeded, and their offer seemed like a way to help him achieve that goal. Johnny finally accepted their arrival; he then hugged each of his siblings, and the tensed atmosphere turned into warmth. Johnny then introduces them to his community. The community gives them the warmest welcome and offers them to sit and drink together on that night. Kenneth came up with an idea; he suggested to Johnny that they should not carry their father's organization name to the city of Los Santos, as it could be too risky. Johnny and Hanny agree to Kenneth's idea, so they gather up in a back room. After a long discussion, they finally agreed on one name that represents the three siblings. They called themselves The San Shui Syndicate, which is taken from the Chinese words "three" (三, sān), which represents the three siblings, and "water" (水, shuǐ), which represents ultimate virtue, flexibility, and strength in Chinese philosophy. Next, they set their first goal: to look for any opportunity to make their underground business run again, such as an illegal gambling house, an underground fight club, or even smuggling in drugs to Los Santos from their father's organization.
