First Crashing On The Motel

Oscar Moya is an 18 y/o young virgin living at Ganton Flats Avenue, a place where crime was rampant—murders, gang shootings, robberies, and assaults were all too common. His father’s a heavy drinker, hooked on drugs, and hasn’t held a job in a long time. Meanwhile, his mom works long shifts at a 24-hour supermarket out in Las Vegas, doing everything she can to keep things together. Oscar goes to Crenshaw High School and is set to graduate this year.

Basketball is his escape—he’s always on the court near his apartment, putting in work. He even plays for the school team and regularly competes in inter-school tournaments. That’s where he feels most like himself. Around his neighborhood, though, things are different. There’s a gang affiliated that hangs around Ganton Flats Avenue, Original Ganton Park a.k.a OGP. Oscar doesn’t mess with them—and honestly, they don’t mess with him either, except to clown him. They’re always on his case, making fun of his weight and his slanted eyes, which only makes him feel more out of place. His mom knows what’s going on and keeps telling him to stay inside, stay safe. But Oscar’s hardheaded—he ain’t trying to be cooped up all day. He wants to breathe, to be out there. So instead, he starts hanging around the Idlewood Motel, where he meets another gang affiliated—Playboys 13. There, he met a lot of people—Casper, a.k.a Julian Erasmo; Skinny, a.k.a. Zaylen Velazquez; Sparky, a.k.a. Isidoro Carballar; Forky, a.k.a. Norman Young; Shooter, a.k.a. Franklin Curtis; Scarface, a.k.a. Yeremia Saint; Fry, a.k.a. Rafael Freixa; and Shawn, a.k.a Deshawn Guerrero. He also got cool with the homegirls at the motel, Aurora Aguayo and Dayshia Pope. When he first started hanging around there, he quickly met Big Casper, a.k.a. Julian Erasmo. Big Casper treats him different—gives him real talk, advice about life, about moving smart, and about the street because Big Casper mad care with his own calvin. Over time, Oscar keeps showing up, earning respect little by little. He was kinda surprised to run into Fry, a.k.a. Rafael Freixa. Fry was his senior back in school, and they knew each other from being on the same basketball team. But things went south—Fry got kicked off by the coach after messing up in the final of an inter-school tournament. That mistake cost them the game after the other team pulled off a crazy comeback. After that, Fry switched to a different sport at his school. At the motel, though, he was genuinely happy to be around Scarface, a.k.a. Yeremia Saint. The guy kept dropping advice after advice—real talk, stuff he actually needed to hear. After a few months of kicking it with Playboys 13, Big Casper starts trusting him more… eventually even putting him on to sell. With a mix of nerves and confidence, Oscar takes the risk. He starts dealing at Santa Maria Beach, figuring there’s plenty of users out there. In his mind, it’s an opportunity—a way to prove himself, maybe even change his situation.

From the small hustle given by Big Casper, Oscar Moya earned a decent amount of money. As time went by, he slowly started neglecting school—skipping classes, and sometimes not showing up at all—just to hang out with his affiliated gang, Playboys 13. For several weeks, Oscar grew confused because he rarely saw Big Casper at the motel; he started to think that Big Casper been /M.I.A/. Since most of his income used to come from him, He tried to source drugs from other affiliated gangs and, by chance, met Daniel Osorio of Florencia 13 at Willowfield Ammunition. Oscar began purchasing small amounts from Daniel Osorio, then resold them to addicts at a slightly higher price. He ran the small bizz for only a few days, as Daniel Osorio was rarely seen in his neighborhood. Oscar tried to switched things up and looked for other ways to make money. At one point, he broke into a house in the Jefferson area while the owner was away on a long family vacation. The money started piling up from everything he did—breaking into houses, stealing bicycle, stealing cars, and sometimes just stripping them for parts. He’d thought about taking Shawn—a.k.a Deshawn Guerrero’s—advice: digging through the trash for cocaine and flipping it back to people on the streets. But honestly, he figured that whole move would be pointless, kinda ineffective anyway. With the cash he made,

Oscar even rented a BMW for a few weeks, pulling up to school in style so he could pick up and drop off some of the finest girls there. He actually really wanted a real girlfriend who would love him for real—not for money or status. Lately, he’d been getting kinda bored of picking up and dropping off finest girls from school; most of them were high-maintenance and only cared about appearances. They didn’t wanna be seen in regular cars—only rides like BMWs, Mustangs, Dodges, or Chevrolets. Deep down, Oscar had feelings for Dayshia Pope, but he kept it low-key. Why? He was conflicted. Skinny once hinted that Dayshia has been /USED/, and that stuck in his head. Maybe Oscar would open up about his feelings someday… just not yet—he was waiting for the right moment.

How this whole business thing runs

A few weeks passed, and Oscar hadn’t seen Big Casper at all. He started looking for dope through Playboys 13’s connections, specifically Florencia 13, where he met Wacky a.k.a. Marcos Losoya. Marcos did have the goods, but they were out of stock at the time, so Oscar planned to hit him up once they were available. That same night, Oscar reached out to another Playboys 13 connection, White Fence. There, he met Virginia Adelina and tried talking business about the dopes. Oscar ended up buying around 50 grams—finally securing some goods from Virginia. A few days later, Oscar ran into Skinny a.k.a Zaylen Velazquez in an alley. Zaylen handed over Big Casper’s stash that needed to be moved, and Oscar agreed to handle it. He kept the dopes for the time being, planning to sell them once the quantity was big enough. Slowly but surely, the stash kept growing. Oscar also made another purchase from Virginia Adelina a few days after meeting Zaylen. About a week later, Michiko Hideyoshi showed up at the Idlewood motel and bought all of Oscar’s dopes. Michiko, a woman of Japanese descent, came all the way from the Marina Complex to do business with Oscar. A month passed, and Oscar ran into Shawn a.k.a Deshawn Guerrero again, but this time the meeting felt heavy. Shawn’s mother had passed away, and even though it wasn’t his own family, Oscar still felt the pain with him. He had real empathy for his homie. Turns out, Shawn had asked Oscar to pick him up because he wanted to move a few grams of dopes to stack up some extra cash for his needs. A couple weeks later, Playboys 13 built a new connection with one of the gangs out of Los Flores, the Insane Rabbit Gangster Crips. They were similar to Playboys 13, both crews repping the rabbit logo as part of their identity. One of their members, Terror a.k.a. Jimar West, pulled up to the Idlewood Motel and linked up with Oscar, looking for some dopes because they were running a little dope-game on the side. Even though the amounts were small, Oscar still managed to make around $200 in profit from moving the dopes.

Get his Put-On

After finally earning their trust, Oscar eventually got his official put-on from B-Loc a.k.a. Danillo Palabra. He earned that respect after putting in work alongside the Playboys 13 members, taking part in missions like drive-bys on rivals and throwing hands deep inside enemy hoods.

There were even times when Oscar had to fade rivals solo because some of his homies had already dropped or couldn’t keep going. Oscar had a big frame, stood tall, and threw heavy punches that could seriously rock somebody. On top of that, his stamina was crazy — the dude barely ever got tired, no matter how long the action lasted. Seeing all of that, B-Loc a.k.a. Danillo Palabra finally gave him a new name, right now he goes by Tank.
