In his early years his childhood was marked by the shadows of the invasion of 2003. As member of the Shammar tribe he learned at a very young age that survival depends on one's ability to adapt to change. Zayed spent his days watching convoys of M1 tanks and Humvees roll past his dusty street while other children played with toys. His father, an efficient man with a knack for organization managed to secure a job as a local logistic coordinator for the coalition forces. Often Zayed accompanied his father to the checkpoints, witnessing first-hand how the American military managed their vast supply chains. His fascination was heightened by the sheer scale of the operationhow food, fuel and mail could reach the middle of a desert from thousands of miles away. However, the conflict left deep scars behind. The nights when the sky turned orange from distant explosions and the constant hum of drones overhead remind Zayed vividly of the days when His neutral stance and cooperation with the logistics units made them targets for local insurgents and forced them to live in a state of perpetual vigilance. He realized that staying in Iraq was no longer an option for those who had assisted the foreign forces as the U.S. began its major withdrawal from Iraq. Through the Special Immigrant Visa (SIV), Zayed and his family were relocated to the United States eventually settling in the concrete jungle of East Los Santos. The transition was jarring the silence of the American suburbs felt louder to Zayed than the mortars of Mosul and he struggled to find his place in a society that often viewed his. Zayed has turned his past trauma into a driving force at 25 years old. Despite his efforts he refused to fall into the trap of bitterness or crime which swallowed many other young immigrants in El Corona. Instead he turned the logistics skills he learned from his father and the soldiers into a legitimate career. He started his career as a small-time delivery driver and quickly gained a reputation for being able to navigate the most dangerous neighborhoods of Los Santos with the same calm he had during the war. Zayed visited a tattoo artist in Bone County to honor his roots and the journey he survived to get a tribal Shammar sun on his neck and the date of his arrival in America on his wrist. He operates as an independent freight hauler aiming to own a fleet of trucks today. '' He sees every delivery as mission, proving that a survivor of war can build a legacy of peace and industry in the land that once arrived with tanks in his backyard.
