He lived with his mother, who worked any job she could find to put food on the table. Carl rarely had the luxury toys that his friends had. His best toys were second-hand items that he took apart and put back together until they worked again. From this, he began to understand that life does not give gifts for free everything requires effort. When he entered his teenage years, many changes took place around him. Some of his peers chose shortcuts to make quick money. Carl had doubts about his own choices, but he had seen how the family of someone he knew had been destroyed by one big mistake. Since then, he has been convinced that he wants to live peacefully without fear of getting caught up in the law. When he graduated from school, Carl realised that Detroit was not the place where his dreams could flourish. He wanted his mother to live comfortably before she grew old. With his meagre savings from odd jobs cleaning garages, repairing broken bicycles, and delivering orders, Carl finally decided to go to Los Santos. A city that he said could completely change a person, depending on how strong they were. The beginning in Los Santos was not a fairy tale. He often slept in cheap places and ate whatever he could find. But Carl did not choose to give up. He took on all the legitimate jobs available, from courier to vehicle mechanic to truck driver. Slowly but surely, he became known as someone who could be trusted. That was how he met a customer who later offered Carl the chance to manage a newly established small business. Success did not come instantly there was a time when Carl almost returned to his hometown. However, he remained steadfast in his determination to earn enough money to start many businesses and provide a decent life for his mother. His small business continued to grow. From one location, it expanded into several businesses that employed many people. Carl always gave opportunities to people who had fallen on hard times, because he knew what it was like to struggle alone. Today, Carl Adams is known as someone who started from the bottom and proved that success can be achieved without harming anyone. For him, having many businesses is not the end goal, but a means to help more people seize the opportunities he once barely had.
