Now renamed Saint Petersburg, Russia. Rostislav Innokenty, nicknamed "Slava," was a child with above-average physical and intellectual abilities. Slava grew up in a military environment, Slava's father was a military officer, and Slava's mother was a Latin teacher. Educated in discipline and state ideology, Slava was recruited by the state intelligence school at the age of 20 and began his career as an operative agent for the GRU, the Soviet Union's military intelligence branch. When the Cold War heated up in 1985, with the Soviet Union tensely facing the West, Slava had officially joined as a field agent, a disguise specialist. Slava carried out his first mission in Afghanistan and went to a secret monitoring post in East Germany. As a GRU field agent, Slava spent the late 1980s in global conflict, carrying out various missions, including counterintelligence, undercover work, and hunting down Western agents in Eastern Europe. In 1991, the Soviet Union collapsed, leaving millions of intelligence personnel without a home, status, and direction. At the age of 26, Slava was recruited by the Bratva, a Russian mafia syndicate engaged in a conflict over territory and power following the collapse of the Soviet Union. The Bratva leaders, recognizing Slava's abilities, immediately promoted Slava to a silent executioner, skilled in strategy, money management, and eliminating people without leaving a trace. Slava's expertise impressed the Bratva leaders, who gave Slava a promotion. However, in 2011, Slava was given a mission involving a civilian family, including a child who should not have been targeted. The mission ended in the accidental death of the child. Since then, Slava has been traumatized and deeply guilty throughout life. Slava disappeared from Bratva contact for months to relieve the trauma, and this was considered a betrayal by the leaders. When Slava returned to Moscow to resign amicably, the Bratva leaders sent a team of assassins to eliminate Slava because they thought Slava might be carrying secrets to outsiders or intelligence agencies. Slava, always one step ahead, killed several of the assassins, and released some of them to send a message to the leaders to stop pursuing or Slava would fight back even more viciously. After the incident, Slava erased all digital traces, identities, and old contacts. Slava used old connections in the intelligence world to fake death and buy several fake identities, so that Slava could live peacefully enjoying his old age, and Slava left Russia secretly. With a fake passport, Slava arrived in Canada first, then crossed to Washington State, United States using an illegal immigrant network. After several years living in Washington State, Slava decided to move, and Slava decided to go to San Andreas. Slava used the illegal immigrant network, by paying several crew members of cargo ships heading to San Andreas. After arriving in San Andreas, Slava felt that in San Andreas Slava felt safe, because not many people knew about the state of San Andreas. Slava started a new life in San Andreas, but Slava kept his favorite Makarov pistol just in case, because Slava knew that one day, the Bratva or the past would come knocking.
