bloodless Posted July 17, 2025 Posted July 17, 2025 Deshawn Green Deshawn Green came up in one of California's overlooked pockets the sort of neighborhood where nobody imagines big because mere survival consumes all your strength. His household never had much; on some days, they did not even have that much. His mom toiled long hours wherever she could find them, and his dad floated from job to job, accustomed to ill fortune rather than regular paychecks. Violence, poverty, and loss were not things he read about they were things that he lived. Deshawn learned early on to keep his head down, stay alert, and figure things out on his own without holding out for help that never came. School was another institution that didn't care, so Deshawn learned more on the streets than he ever did in a classroom. He picked up skills wherever he could fixing things, arguing his way out of trouble, learning to make money without raising an eyebrow. He constructed on some days, errands that didn't involve paperwork on others. He never looked for trouble, but trouble found him anyway. When his father passed away from an illness that had gone far too long without being treated, Deshawn loaded up what little belongings he had and left town, not to escape, but to find somewhere new to build a life for himself from scratch. Deshawn is 28. He is silent and fast. He listens more than he talks and moves like a man who's both witnessed the best and the worst of humanity. He will not be intimidated by hard work, but he is no fool, either. Whether he works for others or in the background is based on the doors that open. Most important to him is respect gaining it and giving it to those who will gain it. He's not seeking glory or power. He just wants to be in his own way, find his own cipher, and maybe finally call some place home.
