Johannes Romaine Ashworth (born September 4, 1957), better know by his nickname Joey Ashworth, was an American mobster. He became a made member of Charlotte Crime Familly in 1983 and a Caporegime or heads of the crew, appointed by the familly boss Mickey "Mike the Three Fingers" Charlotte in 1986, according to local detective Martin Conrad.

Early life
Joey Ashworth was born in Lecarda Friddi, Sicilly on September 4, 1957. Ashworth parents, Samuel and Marthyn Ashworth, had two other children: Lucas Ashworth (born 1959) and Roy Ashworth (born 1963). Joey's father worked in Gold mine in Sicilly.
 
In 1960, when Joey was 3 years old, the familly immigrated to United States. They settled at Los Santos city and lived in Willowfield, a popular Destination of Immigrants. At age 13, Joey dropped out of school and started a job as Mail Delivery, earning $20 a week. However, after he winning a jackpot $1000 at Lottery, Joey quit his job and start earning money from the street. That same year, Joey parents send him to New Avenue School of Los Santos. 
 
As a teenager, he start build his own gang named "34th Harmony Street boys". Unlike other street gangs whoose business was petty crime, Ashworth offering a protection to Italians youngster from Jewish and American local gangs for $40 a day. He was also learning the pimping trade from his friends. 
 
Career
Together with his brothers, Lucas and Roy Ashworth he formed a faction in the local mobster of Los Santos named L.S Mob. They were involved in many big business in the gang, including Heroin trafficking, money laundering, murdering, armed robbery, and many more. By 1973, Joey had met many future mafia boss, including Victor "Big Vic" Souza, Lance Alderman, Kenny Soprano, and Vito Genovese.  The same year, Luca Stracci as the Head of Stracci Crime Family recruited Joey as one of his gunmen. Roy and Lucas recruited too by other crime familly through L.S Mobster, the both recruited by Victor Souza to Barbaro Lane Syndicate. 
 
Barbaro and Stracci had a rivalry at Drugs businesses, so Joey decided to disappeared from his both brothers. Don Juan Barbaro, the head of Barbaro Lane Syndicate is know the both brothers has a relationship with the one of Stracci member, Don Barbaro decided to kill the duos. 
 
Within the murder of his brothers, Joey with other gunmen of Stracci went to Barbaro house and kill entire of Barbaro familly, including his son and his wife. Joey finishes Barbaro with burning his house with a Molotov. After Joey's avenged his brothers death, he appointed as Consligiere of the family and responsible for anything at the family.
 
Marriage and Family
June 3, 1976 - He met Maria Masseria, the daughter of Simon Masseria, brother of the Founder of Masseria's Pizza Resto. He started begin a relationship with her and married with her. He get one children from the Marriage, named Vito Ashworth. His family now lived at New York, within Joey's mom.
 
Charlotte Crime Family, Saint Peter Massacre
After the death of Luca Stracci in 1983 appears to have been the catalyst for Mickey Charlotte's ambition to become overall leader of all the Mafia gangs in Los Santos. Mickey re-structured all the Families in town and disbanded the Stracci Crime Family. Mickey recruites all of the trusted members in Stracci's crew to his family. Ashworth is one of them, he's accepted as gunmen in the crew. Mickey's finishes most of the crew in the town. 
 
The Final massacre is in Christmast, 1985. At Saint Peter church, the gunmen of Mickey gunned down LSPD former Chief of Police until death, Johan Lindsey. They burn down the Church and finishes all of the civillians in the massacre. 
 
Caporegime, The Charlotte war
In 1986, he received Medal of Honor from Mickey and promoted as Caporegime at the gang. He reserved as best member in the gang and he had a big responsible for the gang. 1988, they finishes the entire of Jewish youngster at The Panopticon. They resumes the heist into the Dillimore, they gunned down a Sheriff and Mickey's crew name become a Most Wanted in San Andreas city. Charlotte next began is moved to San Fierro, Charlotte begin a business-partner relationship with Marezano, and it ended well.
 
But, when Charlotte tried to ended up the business and kill Marezano, Marezano get a reinforcement from the local chinese gang and most of Charlotte's crew killed in the scene but Ashworth and Charlotte fled to Country. They tried to escaped the Sheriff and the Reinforcement of Marenzano, but the escape is ended up by Charlotte killed. Ashworth get prisoned after that.
 
Arrest and Trial
In December, 1990, the trial against Joey Ashworth started. The prosecution portrayed him as the main distributors of Heroin smuggled from Sicilly, Italy and North America to Miami and New York by the Sicilly Mafia also including against the murder and genocide case. The defence said that the client was under drug and narcotics so he can't control himself and ended up killing the peoples and for the drugs, this is uncorroborated testimony of Marino Marenzano and Juan Gravano. The trial ended at January, 1991 when a jury was unable to reach a verdict.
 
Release
After passing a long time trials without any decisions and unable to reach a verdict, the judge decided to release Joey from the trial and become a Civillian again in 2010, he finishes the trial with help of Joseph Gravano as his lawyer. In prison, he survived a stroke, heart attacks, and open-heart surgery. Sitting in wheel chair, but he can walk after a few weeks. 
 
After a few years
Now Joey worked at Oil Factory in Las Venturas, now currently he was a former Boss of Strauss Resto. They oversaw a slimmed-down criminal gang of 200 made men active in drug-trafficking, extortion, and loansharking, according to FBI and DEA, He suspected as high-ranked member of the family beneath boss and also his nephew Juan Rosso.
